About Us
The Under 8's age group provides an opportunity for it's squad members to get their first taste of competitive tag rugby. We arrange friendly matches with local squads and enter a number of festivals and tournaments throughout the season. At this early stage of competitive rugby, we aim to teach and develop the squad to play as a team, embrace the spirit of the game and most importantly have fun!
We train on a Sunday morning from 10:00 am until 11.30 (unless we have a match !). During our training sessions we combine formal training techniques with games. The formal training focuses on the Speed, Agility and Quickness techniques used by the International squads and rugby skills development. We then use inter-squad games to reinforce the training, encourage team play and to introduce friendly competitive spirit - with naturally a chance for parents to then cheer on in support of their children.

U7s Warminster Tournament (2011)
Andover U7’s sponsored by Burbidges Bakery entered a team in the Warminster emerging tournament held on Sunday 27th March.
With a strong squad of nine players; Jack Tucker, Llewellyn Evans, Adam Robinson, Oliver Culley, Jamie Banks, Jamie Tyson, Archie Lodge, Joshua Armstrong and William Brinton; Andover acquitted themselves very well and played some fantastic rugby moving the ball between hands and supporting one another very well.
U7 County Tournament (2011)
Andover U7’s sponsored by Burbidge’s Bakery fielded 2 teams in Sundays Hampshire U7’s County tournament held at Petersfield.
Split into 2 different leagues Andover “A” played 4 won 4 as they eased through their group stages to top their league.
U7s Winchester Tournament 2011
Andover U7’s, entered two teams into the Winchester mini rugby tournament on Sunday.
Each playing 4 games in their groups, both the Hinds and Stags convincingly won all their games.
