About Us
The Under 8's age group provides an opportunity for it's squad members to get their first taste of competitive tag rugby. We arrange friendly matches with local squads and enter a number of festivals and tournaments throughout the season. At this early stage of competitive rugby, we aim to teach and develop the squad to play as a team, embrace the spirit of the game and most importantly have fun!
We train on a Sunday morning from 10:00 am until 11.30 (unless we have a match !). During our training sessions we combine formal training techniques with games. The formal training focuses on the Speed, Agility and Quickness techniques used by the International squads and rugby skills development. We then use inter-squad games to reinforce the training, encourage team play and to introduce friendly competitive spirit - with naturally a chance for parents to then cheer on in support of their children.
We always welcome new squad members and are happy for your child to come along and give tag rugby a try! The squad members are representative of most of the schools in the area and it is likely your Year 2 child will already know somebody that plays.

Away to Wootton Bassett
The under 7's made the long trip to Wootton Bassett on a bright but cold Sunday morning.
The first team were put under pressure from a very good Wootton side, and as a result were making mistakes. Good running by Caden Ash did help Andover keep in touch, but they lost there first game 3-2 and the second by a wider margin. Caden scored 3 tries, shows what a good hair cut can do.
