About Us
We train on a Sunday morning from 10:00 AM until 12 noon (unless we have a match !). During our training sessions we combine formal training techniques with games. The formal training focuses on the Speed, Agility and Quickness techniques used by the International squads and rugby skills development. We then use inter-squad games to reinforce the training, encourage team play and to introduce friendly competitive spirit - with naturally a chance for parents to then cheer on in support of their children.
The Under 11's age group provides an opportunity for it's squad members to learn more about how to safely play contact rugby so players must have a gum shield to participate in this part of the training sessions. Gumshields are available from the club shop. Kit can be bought from the club shop or from our Second Hand kit store, The Shed.
We arrange friendly matches with local squads and enter a number of festivals and tournaments throughout the season. At this stage of competitive rugby, we aim to teach and develop the squad to play as a team, embrace the spirit of the game, competing and yet retaining the idea of having fun! This is the second season of contact rugby, and after a very successfully initial season learning to play contact rugby safely and with confidence, the squad gets to learn new aspects of the game. The squad gets to compete in the scrum with controlled contested scrums for the first time and also experience contested line-outs.
We always welcome new squad members and are happy for your child to come along and give tag rugby a try! The squad members are representative of most of the schools in the area and it is likely your Year 5 child will already know somebody that plays in this squad.
If you are interested in coming along, or if you have any questions, please give the Team Manager a call. Contact details are below.

County Tournament - 2010
Woodstock Plumbing Sponsered under 9's attended the Hampshire Tournament at Basingstoke this weekend. Getting off to a strong start with good hard play they defeated Petersfield 3-1, again the second match they met Gosport & Fareham and with sheer determination from try scorers Wood, Lishman & Wilson won 4-2. By this stage the team were in high spirits and went on to meet New Milton who they knew were strong apponents, this proved to be a tough but very even match from both teams resulting in a 1-1 draw, the 4th match against Alton was again very even and tough with neither side willing to give in, with great tackles from Scobie, Lishman and Maloney but resulted in a 0-0 score. This took the under 9's into the quarter finals for the cup. Overton were their opponents, who also had been a strong side throughout the day, by half time and great try from Lishaman the score was a 1-1, a nail biting match, but then with a break overton went ahead. The Andover side were solid with their defending all the way not giving up for a second. But on this occasion they were defeated in the end to a 3-1 score but the whole squad gave 100% and played with great sportsmanship throughout, player of the day went to Jacob Wilson, and Tackle of the day went to Hector Hamilton.
