About Us
The Under 10's age group trains every Sunday and has moved into its second year of contact with the introduction of 1 v 1 rucking and mini mauling. At this stage of competitive rugby we aim to teach and develop the squad to play as a team, embrace the spirit of the game and most importantly have fun! We are playing to the new transitional rugby rules where the emphasis is on attacking space, offloading in contact. We play against local clubs and enter a number of festivals and tournaments throughout the season. We train on a Sunday morning from 10:00 AM until 12 noon (unless we have a match !). During our training sessions we combine structured drills with game based exercises. The structured drills focus on passing and tackling and techniques while game based exercises are aimed at improving reaction, decision making and team work. We encourage team play and to a friendly competitive spirit - with naturally a chance for parents to then cheer on in support of their children. We always welcome new squad members and are happy for your child to come along and give rugby a try! The squad members are representative of most of the schools in the area and it is likely your Year 5 child will already know somebody that plays. If you are interested in coming along, or if you have any questions, please give the Team Manager a call. Details are below.

Winchester Emerging Tournament (2011)
The future looks Bright for Andover Under 10’s
UK Web Media Andover Under 10’s turned in a terrific performance last Sunday to win the Plate at the annual Winchester emerging players tournament.
The tournament is for new and developing players and showed the progress being made at Andover, as it was hard to tell this team from the one that did so well at Salisbury several weeks ago, despite not a single player appearing in both.
Andover began with a solid 2 1 win over New Milton which could have been more but for two disallowed tries.
