Andover U7’s sponsored by Burbidges Bakery entered a team in the Warminster emerging tournament held on Sunday 27th March.

With a strong squad of nine players; Jack Tucker, Llewellyn Evans, Adam Robinson, Oliver Culley, Jamie Banks, Jamie Tyson, Archie Lodge, Joshua Armstrong and William Brinton; Andover acquitted themselves very well and played some fantastic rugby moving the ball between hands and supporting one another very well.

Playing against Walcott and North Dorset in the group stages Andover progressed to the semi final where they played against Frome. Beating Frome convincingly 4 – 0 they made it through to the Plate Final where they meet North Dorset again.

This time we lost out 4-3 with a try from the last play of the game being disallowed for the ball not being grounded correctly.

The boys did fantastically well and were a credit to the club and their parents.
