Andover under 16's recorded a fine win in their first game of the season at home to a strong Royal Wooten Basset side playing some fast open rugby in a really promising performance.

A strong scrum where Charlie Rhodes and Callum Barber Starkey shone and the lineout work of Bryn Waite and Dan Gregory gave Andover plenty of ball whilst in defence Arlo Matley was outstanding.

Tommy Lloyd and Sean Higgins pulled the strings at half back and whilst Wooten Basset fought bravely, they could not contain the hard running home side.

A hat trick from the impressive CJ Feirn, a brace from Ed Bilborough and single scores from Jake meek, Cameron Stacey and a very popular effort from Dean Smith plus five conversions gave Andover a 50-20 victory, in a game where it was great to see Max Greenwood back from long term injury.
