Basingstoke U15 24 Andover U 15 45

Barber Lounge sponsored Andover U 15 followed up their emphatic away league win over Ellingham and Ringwood recently with a comfortable if slightly lethargic performance at old rivals Basingstoke.

Despite a few regulars missing Andover fielded a strong side and welcomed back the inspirational CJ Fiern to the back row for his first game of the season after a broken leg.

Inevitably he got on the score sheet with a trademark try, but it was flying wing Cameron Stacey who stole the show with four outstanding efforts and there were single scores for skipper Sean Higgins and Myles Wakeham, five of which were converted by James Rennie in his new role at stand off.

Alfie Mason and Charlie Rhodes shone in the loose, Ed Bilborough looked comfortable in the full back role and Finlay Anderson had his best game in a while, with hard running and good touch kicking.

Luke stone again played well, having a half for both sides and even scored a try for the opposition, which lead to a warm welcome for him from his team mates in the post match tunnel.
