Andover U 15 25 Havant 12

Barber Lounge sponsored Andover U 15 began their first ever league season with a splendid win in the top tier of Hampshire rugby with a fine win over south coast giants Havant.

In front of a large crowd and County selectors, Andover started badly when a mistake gave a strong Havant an early lead.

The young ‘All Blacks’ didn’t panic however and soon began to dominate.

Rory Case, Bryn Waite and Callum Barber Starkey all shone as the team, prompted by impressive skipper Sean Higgins, at first levelled through the excellent Cameron Stacey and then forged ahead through the boot of Case.

The excellent Hamish Janaway crashed over to extend the lead and when The Andover front row of Jake Meeks Barber Starkey and Charlie Rhodes struck against the head to give Ed Bilborough the chance to score the game was out of sight.

As Andover used their whole bench Havant managed a further score but the boot of case and leadership of Dean Smith kept the home side well out of sight for a fine win.
