Today saw Andover U12's take part in their first ever Winchester A Tournament.  They were first to play in Pool B against touring side, Chew Valley (Somerset County Champions), eventually coming out 3-2 winners.  Next up was Winchester Saxons winning 4-0.

The last game in our group was against Trojans who were the only team to beat Andover at the Hampshire County Tournament last month, but Andover were just to strong winning 5-0.

Finishing top of the pool this set up a final against the old foe, Winchester Warriors, who had topped Pool A after drawing their final game v Alton.

The game kicked off in typical derby style, but was unfortunately stopped 1 min in due to one of the Winchester players sustaining a heavy knock to the head and having to leave the field by ambulance.  Play resumed and it was a very hard fought match with Winchester leading 1-0 till the dying seconds when Andover scored a late try with the match finish 1-1.   Andover coming out the better having only drawn 1 game and Winchester drawing 2.
