It was a lovely day for the Salisbury Mini Rugby Festival with the sun coming through from time to time.
Andover's pool had Wimborne, Winchester, Bournemouth, Blandford and Salisbury.
In our first competitive match we looked rusty against a useful Wimborne side, however, the boys slowly began to improve in their subsequent matches and were much better supporting the ruck, quicker passing and crossing the try line on three occasions.
Today saw Andover U12's take part in their first ever Winchester A Tournament. They were first to play in Pool B against touring side, Chew Valley (Somerset County Champions), eventually coming out 3-2 winners. Next up was Winchester Saxons winning 4-0.
The last game in our group was against Trojans who were the only team to beat Andover at the Hampshire County Tournament last month, but Andover were just to strong winning 5-0.
Andover ASF Partnership sponsored RFC U12s had a great day out at the Winchester Emerging Festival on Sunday.
In line with the ethos of an Emerging festival we selected a team based around our newest players - some of whom had not attended a festival before.
The boys started brightly in our first game against Gosport and Fareham, producing a 3-0 win.
