It was a lovely day for the Salisbury Mini Rugby Festival with the sun coming through from time to time.

Andover's pool had Wimborne, Winchester, Bournemouth, Blandford and Salisbury.

In our first competitive match we looked rusty against a useful Wimborne side, however, the boys slowly began to improve in their subsequent matches and were much better supporting the ruck, quicker passing and crossing the try line on three occasions.

As the tournament progressed the communication amongst the players was more evident along with the support for the running players. This led on to a much faster game and quicker rucking.

The squad which included Taylor, Euan, Joe, Mason, Dylan, Will, Tom, Luca, Matthew and Isaac showed great team spirit and put in a tremendous amount of effort during each game. Special mention to Mason for some amazing tackles, Taylor for some great running and scoring two try, Tom for his rucking, communication and scoring a try, Euan for his space awareness and organising the team and all the other players for their determination and commitment to the team.

Thanks to all of the parents for travelling down, your vociferous touchline support and keeping your boys fed and watered throughout the day. Thanks especially also to Zoe for assisting in administration matters at the officials tent and Mark for assisting Michael with the pre-match warm up, tactics and team talks. Emma for attending to the player's bumps and bruises throughout the day.
